We had a comfortable stay but I have to admit I was disappointed. The entrance and communal areas of the hotel are modern and fresh and well kept.
However our room felt like it needed an upgrade and some TLC. We had a rip in our sofa, very worn and bubbled carpets, lifting in places and some bumps, scraps and peeling paint. Our shower over the bath was adequate but very narrow. We felt there were some things missing that would have made our room more comfortable, like bottled water and/or a fridge. The attachment to our hairdryer was broken and wouldn't fit. My daughter also fell off the sofa as the cushions hadn't been attached properly after it being used as a bed by previous guests.
We specifically booked here as there was a pool and few city centre hotels offer this. Again the pool was fine and we enjoyed our swim, however it needs updating and repairs to tiles and underwater lightening fixed, cables surely should not be left floating near the main steps to the pool.
Overall our stay was clean and comfortable but we will be staying elsewhere on our next visit to Glasgow as there are better spec hotels available at a similar price point.
