Our room was both fabulous and a splurge,
The place was located in the heart of Palermo, which is great from the standpoint of seeing the sights, restaurants and stores, but not great from the standpoint of driving, With help from the manager of the facility, we parked 3 short blocks away and chose to walk to the hotel (the manager offered several times to assist us but we passed on his offer).
He greeted us at the front door of the large building where our rooms were located and signed us in. He took a nice amount of time marking up a map with various interesting sights and showed us to our room, which as the largest, nicest and most expensive of the 7 hotels we stayed in during our stay in Italy (mostly in Sicily). The room was nicely furnished with a fridge, cooktop, pots, pans had we elected to prepare lunch or dinner. The bed, linens and bathroom set-up were all very nice. The room's only window looked out on an internal courtyard, and allowed us to enjoy fresh air.

In summary, the facility is limited based on its size (just a few rooms, no restaurant, no bar, no 24 hour on-site staff),and location (in an area restricted from driving), but the manager made himself available if we needed anything
