We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Umi. The property is beautiful, chic, and thoughtfully designed, with rooms that are spotless, spacious, and smell amazing. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect, close to all the action while still feeling calm and relaxing. This property is clean, and the local staff that work there are pleasant, but this property is not at all as advertised. I didn’t get the room I booked, instead I was next to all the mechanical equipment, which was loud. there is no real internet access - when I asked I was told that is the case while the entire area, which is not true. the spa was ‘closed’, there is no real gym/yoga facility, there was also a power outage while I was there. I checked out a few days early, and they were not willing to offer any form of a return. When I contacted Expedia, about the false advertising, they confirmed they didn’t check the accuracy of the listing, so booking is at the risk of the guest. Overall very unpleasant experience. There are plenty of other better options and are far more affordable. I would have been much happier in a hostel.
