Great two bedroom apartment that was meticulous, staff was very pleasant and the location was fantastic. Very clean and well appointed. Highly recommend! Will stay here again when we’re in Portland.

This accommodation is absolutely stunning in every way. A full apartment with the most tasteful furnishings and decor. Kitchen is well equipped and bathroom is luxurious. Highly recommend. However, the elevator didn't work for one whole day and we were on the 5th floor, so not great. Felt that we should have been compensated somehow for the inconvenience.

The Docent Collection-Boyd Block was a wonderful stay! VERY clean and luxurious, we had everything we needed and more. The staff was very professional and helpful. Check in was the most efficient ever. I absolutely loved everything about Boyd Block, we were in walking distance to so many places. This was a 10/10 stay!

This was an outstanding stay. Good communication from staff along with helpful recommendations for food and activities. The lofts are nestled in between shops and a bank across the street from a park, so keep an eye out for the signage. We walked and biked around Portland and this was a great middle ground. The loft is spacious, clean and safe. It has a fully stocked kitchen, toiletries in the bathroom, cleaning supplies and umbrella (we used it). We stayed in room 204 (one bedroom) that overlooked a restaurant patio and on a clear day had a very partial view of the bay (parking garage obstructed). Definitely one of our favorite stays. The *only* thing of note is the windows do not open to enjoy the nice summer breeze. Highly recommend.

Immaculately clean, stunning interior, and perfect location were the first things I noticed about Docent’s Choice. Being half a Luddite the app for phone and figuring out how to turn the lights off and on involved me needing assistance. Not only did the staff help me, they didn’t even laugh at me or call me a “Boomer”. Great customer service! Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Docent’s Choice. Everything was perfect!

Beautiful apartment, perfect size, and just a really easy place to stay. Well designed & comfortable. The staff made the biggest difference though. Super responsive, genuinely warm, and they held my bags before check-in and after check-out, making my stay so much easier. Would stay again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend.

Overall, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean, which I appreciated. However, there were several issues that made the stay feel disappointing, especially considering the price. A few of the room amenities were not functioning properly. The filtered water dispenser did not work, and the blackout shades were terrible , causing us to wake up at sunrise each morning. While these may seem like minor inconveniences individually, together they detracted from the overall experience. Given the hotel’s reputation and high ratings, I expected more. In my opinion, the accommodations did not justify the premium price, and I left feeling that I had overpaid for what was offered. The most concerning part of my stay occurred at checkout. Before leaving, I asked a staff member if she could watch my belongings for about ten minutes while I found a restroom, as there are no public restrooms available. She kindly agreed, but when I returned, she had left the area and my belongings were unattended. Fortunately, nothing was taken, but anyone could have walked away with my luggage. That experience was both frustrating and unsettling, and it left a disappointing final impression of an otherwise pleasant stay.
