The reason I selected the Imani Country House was its proximity to the Almendres Cromlech, an arrangement of stones that pre-dates Stonehenge. Therefore, as expected, it was in the middle of nowhere on dirt roads. It was a beautiful place with orange and olive trees, lovely roses, two pools, and luxurious rooms with a fully-stocked mini-bar. We had some issues with service (e.g., being given the key to a room that was already occupied, the restaurant and front desk not being opened at advertised hours, and not receiving exactly what we ordered at the restaurant); however, if you're willing to be understanding in order to stay close to the megaliths, then this is the place!
