⚠️ DO NOT BOOK — UNSAFE AND DECEPTIVE.
Stayed 18–19 April 2026, booked a premium room for 3 adults via Expedia. Zero first-aid kit at a hotel with a swimming pool. My friend was bleeding from a cut on a sharp, broken pool tile — it took the hotel 40+ minutes to produce a cotton swab. If this had been a child or an elderly guest, the consequences could have been catastrophic.
Separately: the Expedia listing advertised "Free Breakfast" with no opt-out — on arrival the hotel flatly refused and demanded a voucher Expedia doesn't issue. Three Expedia Support calls later, with the hotel's own revenue manager confirming breakfast was included, the final "resolution" offered was breakfast for 1 out of 3 guests. Another guest at the hotel booked via Agoda faced the identical scam during the same stay — this is a systematic practice, not a one-off.
The "premium" room had fungus-stained walls (photos attached), a broken fridge, no Wi-Fi, a dead TV remote. Reception staff were hostile and dismissive.
Sent a formal complaint to Foxoso's directors on 20 April. 20+ days of complete silence.
Formal complaints now filed with the National Consumer Helpline, ASCI, Uttarakhand Tourism Department, and the Consumer Commission.
Please — for your safety and your sanity — book somewhere else. Tapovan has better options at every price point.
