Bali's hot springs and natural springs are scattered throughout the island’s inner regions. Some of these springs are sources of holy water for important Balinese Hindu temples that were built around them, and there are several hot springs that serve as wellness retreats with therapeutic, mineral-rich waters.
Among the most popular are the cool spring-fed pools of Tirta Empul Temple in central Bali and the hot springs of Toyabungkah overlooking the caldera lake of Mount Batur. These natural springs in Bali will treat you to rewarding sights and sounds, great for a day out exploring the ‘real Bali’ or as brief stopovers as you explore Bali’s secluded regions.

Mehr anzeigenBanjar Hot Springs – locally referred to as Air Panas Banjar – is approximately 5 km south-west from Lovina Beach in North Bali. The hot water springs share the same district as the Brahmavihara Arama Buddhist monastery which is only 1.5 km to the east.
The hot water spring complex comprises 4 main pool sections. The central bathing pool features a restaurant perched high above the northern side. Beside the restaurant are restrooms, lockers and changing rooms, and a spa and massage facility.
The hot water springs provide a recreational and therapeutic experience, due to the water’s sulphuric content. This can be seen from the yellowish red sediment on the spouts and pool walls. A row of souvenir shops lines the route to the hot springs, selling framed art, handicrafts, souvenirs, Bintang shirts, batiks and dyed cloths.
