The Booze declares to be a secret speakeasy bar that is hidden and can only be accessed by those in the know. The main branch is in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul with The Booze Jeju as the second branch. At The Booze Jeju, the entrance appears once you enter a payphone booth and push the wall.
When you step inside through the door, you will find a passageway decorated in a chic and antique vibe. The Booze has the concept of a classic bar and uses subdued lighting, which exudes a luxurious atmosphere. The Booze enforces unique rules, such as no access by people under 30 years of age, no access for groups of five or more, no reservations possible for non-members, and no exposure of other customers when taking photos. Magpie Brewery is a place where you can experience not only beer but also the culture contained in the beer, which is why it is popular among beer lovers. It is said that Magpie Brewery originally started as a small project grown from an idea that was raised when five neighbourhood buddies were drinking beer on a Gyeongnidan-gil street.
Magpie Brewery also offers tours in which visitors learn about the history and identity of Magpie as well as the value it pursues. There is no separate exhibit space set up for tours but, instead, you walk through the brewery facilities to check out the entire beer production process with your own eyes from start to finish. Once the tour ends, you can taste 5 kinds of the beer being sold at Magpie. A cup of beer enjoyed after experiencing the production process will taste that much deeper.
