They serve nice welcome drinks, and have happy hour every day from 6-7. I had the impression that you could get drinks all day, but didn't indulge so can't confirm this. Its wonderfully perched on top of the hill, and the staff are not obtrusive and are quite helpful. For example I had a little accident in the marina, called ahead, and the staff got a first aid kit ready for me. They also give useful information on Cinque Terre when you first arrive. The place is tastefully furnished. However, being on top of the hill, its quite a hike to the marina and from the station (you are unlikely to drive to Manarola so the only option is to hike up), and this can be a little inconvenient at times. If you're not fit, this may be challenging. My friends had the honeymoon suite which was huge (3 or 4 floors) and spectacular - really gorgeous. I on the other hand had one of the suites which was very tight indeed, and I hated how the doorway and closet had no spotlights which made looking for your things challenging. My room also had no view - just the rest of the building outside. The contrast between the rooms could not be more extreme. Its all relative however. I had stayed in another place in Manarola the night before, and got triple the room size for half the money (though less service, and less expensive looking furnishing), with a clear view over the town and to the marina. My perspective may have been pretty different had that not happened.
