Great hotel
We got our room and it smelt of cigarettes which I was unhappy about as I have a baby but called reception and they changed our room quickly. The new room was great, lovely big bed, clean and staff were great overall esp housekeeping! Hotel rooms are pretty small in hk so it was tight with a baby but bigger than most average priced hotels so would stay here again. The area around the hotel was good too, with a few restaurants and easy access to tram, bus & mtr. There’s also a welcome supermarket 2 min walk and laundry service.

Good hotel but a little noisy
The rooms themselves and the hotel is great, in a lovely location and the noise cancelling from outside is really good. The big issue you have hear is that due to the number of events hosted at this hotel it can lead to a lot of notice in the corridor’s Kate at night with people shouting until 1am in the morning. This isn’t necessarily the hotels fault but it is just the nature of a hotel that hosts large scale events. If you are travelling for work and need a good nights sleep maybe not the best choice.

Catch a taxi there.
Close to MTR but no lift at that station which navies it very hard with luggage and a pram. Pool on the roof was great.

Gaudy lobby decor, normal rooms
Nice room and we were upgraded to a harbour view, this was smaller than expected but perfectly serviceable. Pool looks lovely but we didn’t get to use it but there are peculiarities aplenty here so if you’re the kind of person that gets easily frustrated you might want to look elsewhere, the Harbour Grand over the road is much more conventional. Firstly the interior decor of the common areas is channelling Louis XIV during a fever dream. If it’s flat it’s marble if it’s anything else it’s gold unless it’s a light fixture in which case it’s a chandelier. It’s the kind of decor that even the incoming US President would probably view as gaudy. Secondly it’s difficult to find, it seems to be set within a small housing estate so you get dropped off and then end up hiking a bag along walkways and down escalators as if you’re in an episode of Taskmaster from a dystopian future. Neither of these aspects were a big deal for us but it was one of our more unconventional HK staycations.

Some improvements can be made
The room is pretty small. Housekeeping is not consistent like forgetting to replace clean cups. TV has no US news channels. Charging luggage storage fees no matter how long you stay. Other than that it is fine.

nice clean room at decent price
It was a pleasant surprise for us to arrive to a room (Clover City View Room) with a king bed and not a double bed as advertized. The room has everything we needed. The only down side of the room was the lack of space after we had our medium size luggage and another two smaller ones opened. However, it's HK!! With the price we paid, I have no complaint! The hotel is great.

Everything is fine except the hotel charges a luggage storage fee of HK$20 per night per piece no matter how long you stay with them. This is ridiculous as we travel all over the world and this is the only one that has a fee. It is ok you have some restrictions but we stay a total of 14 days and stored 5 days one piece of luggage and we’re charged HK$100!!

Luggage storage charge
Staff is very helpful. One thing that I was not aware is they charge storage for luggage overnight for HK$20 per piece per night even though I stayed there for 4 nights before and I will come back and stay for another 10 nights.

Nice hotel. Food great. Only minus was lack of seating around pool. There is no where to sit next to the pool. Its basically just for a swim. I recommend making space for a deck and a few loungers. Other than this great overall.
