My family and I recently stayed at Village of Angels and was very disappointed with our experience.
The property looked tired and worn out—nothing like the attractive photos online. Our room was configured with two separate entrances, a detail that was never mentioned during booking, and this setup proved highly inconvenient for our family with small children.
Throughout our stay, there was no effort to accommodate our concerns. While we were eventually allowed to rearrange the room to include two single beds, this change was made without any refund for the additional room we had originally booked.
The gym facilities were a joke; the resort claims to have a gym, but they don’t (again it didn’t match the images we had seen before booking).
The pool area was equally problematic—the pools were dirty, the water murky with poor visibility, and our children were reluctant to use them. Adding to the discomfort, our room had a persistent mouldy smell, the air conditioning didn’t work properly, and even the outdoor pillows were dirty and worn out.
The only positive thing was the employees. Although they were understaffed, they did their best with what they had.
It does not feel like any of the other places, we have stayed in during our vacation in Bali, nor did it meet the usual service levels, which leads me to think that it is not a Balinese owned place.
Overall, our stay at Village of Angels was far from the relaxing experience we had hoped for, and I cannot recommend th
