Pueblo Bonito Rose in Cabo San Lucas offers a classic, beachside experience with charming architecture and direct ocean access. However, the property's age shows in some areas, and service can be inconsistent.
We were disappointed by the misleading "gift" that turned out to be a mandatory timeshare presentation. The resort credit received was limited and couldn't be used for discounted spa services when we were told it was possible by the spa staff at Sunset Beach and the Rose front desk. Not sure I will be back after my interactions with the front desk at check out and having to pay out of pocket for the services that should have been covered by the wonderful "gift". Additionally, our toiletries were mysteriously removed from our room during our stay.
On the positive side, the poolside waitstaff at Rose provided excellent service. However, service at the sister property, Sunset Beach, was less impressive.
A convenient perk was the ability to visit other properties in Cabo with the provided shuttle service.
Overall, our stay at Pueblo Bonito Rose was a mixed bag. The property's charm and location were positive, but the drawbacks were significant. Consider these factors when deciding if it's the right choice for you.
