I recently visited Playabachata Bahia de Maimon from August 16 to August 20, 2024, and it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had.First, the condition of the rooms was absolutely unacceptable. The bed had noticeable stains, the walls had significant cracks, and worst of all, the room was infested with bed bugs and other insects. The shower was barely functional, and the presence of black mold was particularly alarming. This was especially concerning because two members of my family, including my son, have severe asthma, and exposing them to such an environment was extremely dangerous.The hotel did offer alternative rooms, but unfortunately, these rooms had the same issues—mold, insects, and general disrepair. Even the so-called “better suite” they offered was just as bad. The fact that they thought these accommodations were acceptable is beyond understanding. When I tried to address these issues with the hotel staff, they were unhelpful and dismissive. They suggested that I contact Expedia for a refund, but when Expedia reached out, the hotel refused to approve it, despite the clear and serious health risks we faced. This lack of accountability and care for their guests is unacceptable. I was forced to leave the hotel because it was simply unsafe for my family to stay there.
