One of the first things I noticed in my room was a stand which displayed a gull telling me, that I've chosen an environmentally friendly accommodation. I do love the approaches mentioned there.
But unfortunately the sensor for turning off the shower didn't work as intended in one of the lady showers, so some litres of water have gone for good unnecessarily. But I adressed it at the reception desk and hope it has already been fixed :)
It's a fortunate fact that there are 2 showerheads in one cabin, because the fixed showers on the 5th floor for ladies were black from mould. The movable shower facilities looked fine though.
I like that there's a recycling point accessible 24/7 for all kinds of waste. But I don't like, that there seems to be only one for the whole building. One at each floor would be awesome because carrying around trash from 5th to the 1st floor regularly isn't too appealing.
A definite plus is that it's in a location which I call just perfect. It's 10-15 minutes by foot to reach the heart of the city - true comfort to me. There's a supermarket very nearby and thanks to the fridge in the shared kitchen self-supply is not a big issue and a good opportunity to save money.
On the last morning of my stay I did try out the sauna, which is included in the price. And you should do so too!
