This Hilton hotel is on the more run down side of hotels in the chain weâve experienced. Not particularly in the building, but the scent. Perhaps itâs the carpeting or the walls.
The staff was very friendly. And we definitely saw them cleaning, and we did not see anything soiled or dirty, yet the place has a distinct smell all throughout. It smells of some type of cleaning agent but mixed with Marijuana. Although it says itâs 100% smoke free, someone was definitely smoking or using oils heavily. That made the whole experience feel dampened.
We were also disappointed that the pool was closed this day. The breakfast is not free and you have to pay.
When we checked in, we were in room 215 that is when I realize I need to ask for another room closer to the elevator for my mom. Connor was able to get us a room on the first floor, which we were very thankful for.
The hotel was well out of the way of pretty much everything. You had to drive about 10 miles to get food. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and accommodating. There were several areas that could have been cleaner in the room. There were stains on the mattress cover. Just a little more and deeper cleaning would help a lot. Overall it was a good stay.
