Nice place, poor communication
The place was clean, tidy and modern. I have very few complaints about the actual apartment. The bed was comfy, clean towels were provided and the whole apartment was nice.
Unfortunately, the window in the bedroom would not open and in the warm temperature, made the room hot and humid and the nights quite uncomfortable. I used a reasonable amount of force to try and get the window open but I did not want to force it too much and get blamed for breaking anything.
Communication beforehand was limited and I had to contact them to get the check in details. I contacted them the day before check in and I got a reply saying the details would be emailed to me 7 days prior to arrival. I then replied reiterating that I was literally due to check in tomorrow and then I got a reply saying that I would receive the details a few days prior to arrival. I believe these may have been automatic replies so it would have been nice to have contact with a human.
The only other complaint I have is that they asked for a non-refundable damage waiver which was not stated anywhere in the listing. I don’t mind paying this but I feel it should either be apparent and clear in the property description or be included in the cost of the stay. This is the first time a hotel/apartment has tried hiding this cost when booking through Hotels.com. Don’t try and add another £20 on to the trip unexpectedly.
I would happily stay here again now I know what to expect with price and communication.
