This hotel is proof that a hotel doesn't disappoint when the communication in advance is already great. Having rented a car, we didn't need a pick up from the airport, but we were reminded of the offer nevertheless a few days before arriving . We were tired after a long drive, but we were greeted with a warm smile, mint tea and an owner(!), who sat down with us himself, put out a map of Marrakech and explained in detail what to do, where to eat, giving us tips to survive the souks of Marrakech. Initially, we were thinking of hiring a tour guide to have a bit of a local support, but after that, we honestly felt we could brave Marrakech on our own. Renaud's advise was super helpful. But the staff was equally accommodating. I suffer from diabetes and the Moroccan cuisine is quite sweet. After a week of bread and butter (because breakfast consisted mostly of jam and cake), I craved for a change, so I asked for a tomato at breakfast the first day. And the next day, I had it served in a little bowl without further ado. I know it's just a tomato, but what I want to say is that the cook remembered my wishes. The hotel itself was charming too, close to the souks (10 minutes walk, if even), a lovely terrace with couches and plants, a lovely courtyard with a plunge pool - all a little oasis to relax when coming home from the stressful exploration and from getting lost in the busy souks, that in combination with the hospitality of Renaud and his team made our stay truly amazing.
