This is an excellent place. Clean and very accommodating. Close to shops and restaurants yet quiet. Spacious rooms and wonderful private baths. Pleasant sitting rooms and friendly hosts. All of our needs were met even nice selection of beer,wine, snacks and merchandise.

Lovely, updated home, perfectly located and steps away from restaurants, coffee shops, and beach access. John, Amy, and Whiskey were perfect hosts, offering happy hour drinks and a charcuterie board after we arrived. The room was beautifully appointed, clean, and very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Amazing location and hosts

We did a last minute trip for Memorial Day weekend. This was absolutely perfect. Our first time staying in Southport. We are looking forward to our next trip at the Carriage House Inn.

The property is beautiful inside and out. We really enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch. Great location. In walking distance of good restaurants and unique shops. The proprietors are very welcoming and full of information on what to do in the area. We will visit again.

Best B&B in Southport

This place is a win, no matter what your plan is, you’ll feel like home all the time! John and Amy are really sweet people and they’ll make sure you have a wonderful time! I’d definitely recommend it!

So many postiives to write here. 1-the location is superb. One block from the water and a couple of blocks walk to some of the best restaurants in town. The Oyster bar was so good we visited twice. 2- The B and B is perfect. A very warm host who instantly made you feel at home. There is a happy hour with draft beer every day! 3- The room is perfectly spacious, immaculately clean 4- Whatever you need, the host will provide. I wouldnt recommend this place for families, but for couples its perfect.

If you’re looking for a charming and effortless getaway in Southpoint, this is the spot! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Our room was lovely and felt very welcoming. The bed was comfortable, which made it easy to actually catch up on sleep and If you’re looking for a charming and effortless getaway in Southpoint, this is the spot! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Our room was lovely and felt very welcoming with a comfortable bed. The staff here were so kind and genuinely accommodating from the moment we arrived. We also loved the daily happy hour. While the breakfast is continental style (rather than a full hot menu), it was fresh and convenient, but the B&B is perfectly situated so that everything in town is within walking distance. If you’re craving a different kind of meal or a heavy brunch, you’re just a short stroll away from several local spots. A perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

It is a lovely property. Well manicured, plenty of places to sit outdoors. There were three sunrooms/porches where you could sit and read or enjoy the continental breakfast. The rooms were beautifulky decorated and each had a private bath. In the evenings, there was a happy hour in the back parlor. Unique beers and wines were available. A charcuterie board from a local cheese shop was also available for snacking. The hosts, John and Amy, mingled with guests, sharing stories and the history of the house. They made us feel at home and welcome. We plan to return again.

The room was large; the mini fridge was stocked (water was free) and snacks from the box were reasonably priced. It had a huge closet and big full-length mirror. The shower was lovely. There was a fenced in back yard for our dog and she was allowed to roam free. A happy hour included a free beer or wine. Coffee and tea were available 24/7. This place had every bell and whistle, even 2 moveable mirrors for hair and make-up. The bedroom had a nice round table for writing, laptop, playing cards, whatever. We LOVED this place.
