Outdated and dirty
Place was promoted as free upgrade for Hotel.com Gold members. This was not provided for free but offered for 30 NZD which I had declined. We stayed at the economy room, so the rating is only applying to this room type, the others might be better. The interior in regards to completeness of accesories was fully in order, but the place seriously needs a remodelling.. it is one thing to have an old place, but it was dirty as well.. the carpets were sticky and feet would get dirty when touchibg the floor.. the back of the TV had not seen a dust of for months it seemed and the patio furniture was completely covered in spiderwebs..
Also the room was supposed to be available at 2 pm as per booking confirmation but we were only able to check in at app 3:45 pm.
If the cleanliness would have been ok the rating would be different and ok in regards to overall value. The room is old, but offers everything and I assume this is the tradeoff why it is offered as economy room, so if it had been proper clean than it would have been ok..
