This hotel canceled on me when I was on the way to check in (I have texting proof), and they told Expedia that I canceled on them. In fact I have to booked for new place to stay for that trip (Expedia can see that)!
I booked all my hotel thru Expedia to avoid these kind of things; I do hope Expedia would investigate and avoid doing business with scams like these.
Here is the text from the hotel:
I sincerely apologize for the delayed response — we’ve been on-site today dealing with an unexpected emergency at the property.
Unfortunately, due to a sudden power outage, we are unable to host your stay today. We completely understand how inconvenient this is, and we’re truly sorry for the disruption to your travel plans.
Please rest assured that we have already contacted Expedia on your behalf to arrange a full refund for your booking. We will fully support the process and make sure it is handled as quickly as possible.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. If there's anything else we can do to assist, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
