The room was terrible. I had booked a city-view room, but instead the window faced another building so close that we could see directly inside each other’s rooms. It wasn’t clean at all—almost as if housekeeping never came. The air conditioner vents were full of dust, so even when I turned it on, it felt unpleasant. The bathroom was covered in water stains, and the showerhead was broken, leaking water sideways. The TV screen was damaged and didn’t work at all. The worst part was at night: Because of the air conditioner, water started dripping from the ceiling. At 2 a.m. I woke up to find the room flooded. When I asked the front desk to change rooms, the staff told me to contact the owner myself—in the middle of the night! That staff came to my room with me, used my towels to mop the floor three times half-heartedly, and then told me to turn the air conditioner back on after 30 minutes. Unbelievable. Even the towels were yellowed and stained. For four nights, I felt constantly uncomfortable, spending as little time in the room as possible. I wanted to move to another hotel, but couldn’t because of budget constraints. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels in my life, but never have I experienced such a poor-quality room for this price. It was awful. I will never go back!
The air vent is full of dust, clearly showing that it has never been cleaned.
Even after wiping it, the water kept flowing, and I finally gave up. My leather shoes were soaked, and the soles were about to fall apart. The next day I had to prepare new shoes just to go to work.
The wooden structures had absorbed so much water that they will soon rot. Yet the management doesn’t care—they keep deceiving people with nice-looking photos and continue renting out these rooms.
