Positive: Spacious room with a comfortable bed, bathroom equipped with both a shower and a bathtub, but what’s the point of having a bathtub when there’s a spa available? Enjoyable, varied, and tasty “Apéro Time.” We want to mention Federica at the reception, who was smiling and very pleasant – we appreciated her kindness. As “compensation” for part of the park being closed, we received two small tubes of cream and two for hand and foot care.
Negative: The welcome and service left much to be desired. The rest of the staff responded brusquely, which didn’t encourage us to ask them for anything. They didn’t smile. When the fire alarm went off at 7:30 a.m. (a brutal awakening with unbearable noise in a place supposed to be dedicated to relaxation), there were no apologies or gestures, just a cold explanation about a technical issue. In the room, there was a stain on the duvet (see attached photo), which was placed between two sheets (not in a cover), raising the question: do they wash the duvet after each stay? The quality of the bathrobes (supposedly worth 180 euros) was disappointing, worn out, with hanging threads. The restaurant was disappointing: very small portions and over €25 for a gazpacho, with unfriendly staff, as in the rest of the hotel. The pool with music (labrum musicae) was not functioning, which was frustrating.
For a rate of 400 CHF per night, we expected better service.
