We stayed a total of 7 nights at this hotel (at beginning and end of our Tanzania/Zanzibar trip) and we were truly impressed. It is a 4-star hotel with 5-star service! Every single employee is polite, cheerful and helpful. The rooms are smartly decorated, most with good views, some with ocean views. Restaurant with a spectacular breakfast buffet. (I believe they also have buffet serving at lunch and dinner, but a la carte as well). Café on the streetlevel with terrasse. Bar up on the lobby level with a very charming and quiet outdoor terrasse (also there is a small pool, which might be used for cooling of when sunbathing on the lawnchairs, but it's not big enough for swimming). Rooftop bar with gorgeous views, great for hanging out, listening to music, and people watching. The building is brand new, well decorated, air-conditioned, with fully functioning amenities. It is located conveniently for sightseeing in town (e.g. the National Museum, the historic Lutheran Church, or the old Indian quarter Kisutu) are in walking distance. Public transport in all directions is available right around the corner of the Hotel, and there is a taxi stand right across the street if that is preferred. We will certainly be back. Wholeheartedly recommendable!
