After arriving from the airport after midnight I was ready for a shower and bed. The front desk staff took some time to find my prepaid reservation. Shortly after, I was given the security codes for the room I was sharing and the front door. I was able to shower and sleep shortly after everything was straightened out. I must say that breakfast was really good with plenty of options for bread, boiled eggs, some cereal, juice and coffee. There is a metro station close. For me it was a 10 minute walk to Syntagma Square for the 24 hour bus service to/from the airport which was the selling point for this place. The view of the Acropolis from the roof top bar was amazing. I stayed two nights and would come back just for the views, location and breakfast. The place was clean and safe.

Emplacement excellent! Terrasse sur le toit avec vue sur l'acropole. Prenez note que le frigo n’est pas disponible avant 8hr même s’il y a quelqu’un à la réception. On a refusé que je récupère ou me remettre un sandwich acheté la veille en prévision d’un départ à 7hr. Je ne comprends toujours pas pourquoi à ce jour. L’employé en poste m’a dit qu’il s’agissait d’une règle de l’établissement.

I booked 2 nights. Nice part of city, walkable to everything. Some sexist situation or condition. I came early before check in, girl at the front looked annoyed, and told me to wait until check in time. Then 2 men walked in a few mins later and she immediately checked them in. After witnessing that, I went to her and checked in. I won’t speculate why she gave the men immediate attention. But as a female, I’m aware of authority gap between men and women. I also learned, I hastily booked a 6 bed mixed dorm. I was the only female. The men were nice but the bathroom situation was awkward. I requested a female dorm for next day’s booking. The girl at the front was more accommodating and the other receptionist (male), was nice. I had to check out from mixed dorm, then re-checked in w/o having to wait long for my next bed to be cleaned. Men and women’s lockers differed. Women had wider/bigger lockers with a shelf. 4 of the girls in my new dorm were friendly, 3 Americans, 1 German. A newly checked in girl who came after me had a haughty attitude. In my experience living in 3 continents before 23, I can spot nationality and character (stereotype) display irl. This girl was living up to her nationality’s reputation, arrogant. The other girls talked about her behind her back, and as soon as she came in, the room became quiet. My linens were musty. Apparently everyone’s linens did. The smell is from not being dried completely before storing. Towels are for rent and very thin.

Everything was great, location, breakfast, friendly staff. Only two things to mind are if you are too close to the rooftop you'll hear all the chatter and the AC is very strong, had to sleep with a sweater .

15/10 recommend this place! Renovated, close/walking distance to everything, very helpful staff, very nice that they have daily housekeeping (unusual for a hostel..). Easy check in/out. Only complaint is the rented towels: for god's sake, worst towel I ever encountered in my life so bring your own lol And it would be nice if the showers didn't make the whole bathroom floor wet.. Very cool crowd though, tips of activities to do etc. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Great hostel
Loved the hostel, very clean and efficient. The location is great and they have a nice rooftop with beautiful views towards the Acropolis. Breakfast was decent but it’s free so it’s all good. The staff was super nice, especially Stephanie, very helpful when needed and made my stay super enjoyable. If I’m ever coming back to Athens, I’m def tempted to stay here again.

Amazing staff, great location
The hostel feels very new/renovated which means everything looks good and is in great condition. The location is under the Acropolis, just metres from the metro station with plenty of shops and restaurants around. The staff were the true standout memory for me. Walter the bartender/receptionist is simply an amazing guy, always happy, open and helpful. Although the beer briefly ran out, he was great in helping to get it back in stock and we were all soon drinking again. Another member of staff who unfortunately I can't remember his name also really helped when my towel, which was drying on a 3rd floor balcony, blew away in the wind and ended up on top of a nearby tree. He helped find a 4-metre pole, went up to the closest balcony, where he was then able to hook it down from the tree. If that is not going 'above and beyond', then I don't know what is.

the hostel is next to many touristic places in the city. I travel alone so even walking at night by myself felt okay. the staff is helpful and friendly. the bed was comfy but is was hot in the rooms- almost like the AC was on heat. the roof top bar and wine bar weren't active to my surprise since the confirmation emails I received encouraged me to pay a visit and got me all excited to do so.. breakfast is basic to say the least. you can hear people in the halls coming back from their time out. the crowd is as expected, all ages, open to socialize and enjoy the time in the city. overall a nice experience although I am not sure I will be back.

Honestly first showing up I had no one besides myself, but as I walked through the doors Athens Backpackers took me in and treated me like family. This place isn’t an hostel it’s a home where you meet so many amazing people. Also Walter the bartender definitely one guy who makes the place the cherry on top.

High classed hostel
Really cozy and high classed hostel in a very good location! Sometimes it felt that I'm at the hotel than hostel because the public rooms. People were social and the staff was nice (especially cleaners). Free breakfast was delicious and there was cleaning every day. I will definitely stay again when I come to Athens again!!
