Superior Room Stay Was OK
Getting to the hotel on foot, as someone who doesn’t drive, was inconvenient as maps had me walking on a busy motorway. Most staff at the hotel were pleasant to interact with.
Breakfast stops being served on weekdays at 09:30—this is strangely early and unfair as some people do wish to sleep in for a bit. Considering it is 2025, some Halal meat options would have been great (I put this on my booking and the Hotel responded saying they’ll make a note of it).
My room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Complimentary water bottles in the mini fridge each day were highly appreciated. The safe wasn’t working when I arrived, so I had to request assistance—two members of staff from the reception desk came to assist but didn’t know how to use the new safes so it took a while. They strangely asked me to input a code in front of them, and they weren’t very apologetic for the inconvenience of the issue as I had expressed I was on my way out. There isn’t much to do in Coventry so I spent a lot of time at the hotel—it would have been great to have the option of using Netflix and other streaming platforms on the room TV.
The bathroom was lovely, and the lighting was great for getting ready for the day. I didn’t love the smell of the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel provided in the bathroom. The shower water pressure was good.
The gym had a decent amount of equipment. The equipment was worn out (e.g. barbell pads).The gym closes at 21:00, and last entry is 20:00.
