I checked in late to the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was not being served apart from desserts or cheese board. They also advised the restaurant across the road were still serving food. I opted for the cheese board and was not disappointed. Lovely selection of stilton cheeses, biscuits and onion pickle.
The hotel room I stayed was is in a period part of the property so had all of the lovely quirky bits (uneven floor, creaking wood, etc.). It was a large room and all was very clean. The room included Nespresso coffee machine and you could order fresh milk. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet.
Breakfast was a good selection of cooked meals and continental (cereals and fruit). The food was served quickly and it was tasty.
Would recommend staying in the hotel.
