AVOID AT ALL COSTS
BEWARE! The pictures on the website do NOT look anything like the rooms. I was visiting Castlegar for work this week, and made the mistake of staying at this Sandman location. The hotel is run down to the ground, my room was a "queen suite", but I found bed bugs on the bed and the sofa/couch had bodily stains all over it. Overall the room was in horendous shape - kind of felt like a motel if I'm being honest. The gym is hardly a gym, rather its a storage closet with dingy lighting and 3 pieces of cardio equiment jammed in there, and none of them worked properly. What a horrible experience. Front desk was rude/aburpt and unwilling to help. The GM was nice enough to move to me to another room, which was not all that better. I even tried to leave the hotel for another hotel down the street, but given the fact that I had already paid on Hotels.ca Sandman refused to refund me so I ended up staying.
I will never stay at another Sandman again after this horrible experience. Dont let the pictures fool you.
