Beautiful hotel with non-working AC
We went on a weekend trip. Lovely room, nice hotel, and good cleaning. The breakfast was also great.
However, we were unfortunate that the heating in the rooms didn’t work. When we went down to tell the reception, we were met by two receptionists. One was sitting there yawning, while the other explained that it wasn’t their fault and that she had just been to the third floor to feel the temperature, and that it was abnormal.
Then one of the receptionists said she could ask housekeeping to check it. We were also told that we would need to wait for the manager.
When I went back upstairs, I mentioned it to housekeeping, who explained that it was because the climate control was on – however, it had been off the entire time we’d been there, so that wasn’t the cause.
I went back to the reception to wait for the room to be serviced but was met by the manager, who gave me hostile looks and refused to engage in dialogue or listen to why I was there.
The kind female receptionist gave us another room on the fourth floor, but the heating there wasn’t any better. Additionally, she made sure we had a free late check-out and didn’t have to pay for what we had taken from the minibar. Big praise to the female receptionist, but it is embarrassing that the manager and the young male staff member behaved so rudely at such an expensive and well-regarded hotel.
Unprofessional and embarrassing for a hotel that costs so much money!
