When I got to the hotel I was told that there were no more rooms, although I had made a non-refundable reservation for 3 nights. I was alone and my travel plans had changed, so I was staying in Florence a little longer. They gave me an apartment instead, on another street. The apartment was of course bigger than a hotel room, but I did not need all the space because I just wanted a place to sleep. It was on the 3rd floor with no elevator (I was advised not to use the one there), no air conditioning, the wi-fi password did not work, the neighbors were very noisy and there was no one to complain to. Even if I called the hotel there is no staff there working during the night. To be fair the area is very close to the Duomo, but it's horrible when you buy something and get another instead. If you buy a smart car and get an SUV, you might have more space, but probably you do not want or need an SUV.
