No scones for you!
I have mixed feelings about our stay at Adtorna. The facilities are nice and location good. However, I have two issues. First, the facility was purpose built but lacks character. It reminded me of a modern German hotel. Second, and most importantly, the owner does not like Expedia customers. For example, all customers get fresh scones and cream upon check-in, except anyone who booked through Expedia. I asked the owner about this and it was because they get less of a cut from Expedia clients. I then asked why they put their booking on Expedia, and they said that "the exposure is priceless" and it helps drive customers to book directly through their website. All that is fine, but why discriminate against the customer? In my opinion, that is very bad business that demonstrates a lack of try concern for the customer experience. All over a a simple scone! At least I got to experience the nice fresh baked smell!
