The house was very cozy and ample, with convenient amenities like TV, Internet, washer, dryer, and a fully stocked kitchen. The location near Mullet Lake was excellent, and there were places reasonably nearby for getting groceries and gas.
Although the overall feel of the place was great, there were some details that require attention moving forward:
1) The cooling unit in the upstairs room was not functioning properly and it made a clacking noise when the cooling feature was activated, so we had to sleep with just a floor fan for a very large room (which made it feel warm).
2) The water pressure was inadequate when someone took a shower or when the washer was in use.
3) We left a note for the owner notifying that the internal filter for the dryer needed to be cleaned or it would not run.
4) The kitchen had many appliances and little details like coffee creamers, and marshmallows and chocolates to make s'mores. I would suggest getting a blender for foods that would require a bit more processing.
5) The automated locking mechanism for the front door has some alignment issues, so I would also suggest that to get fixed.
6) We didn't know if the fire pit use was allowed or if the trampoline in the backyard belonged to the property, so we felt hesitant and didn't use them.
Overall, it was a great experience and would strongly consider staying there again in the future! I thank the owners of the place for sharing with us their piece of Northern Michigan paradise!
