This was a fun stay not far from my house, and for a 5-year-old, it was the Ritz. I enjoyed myself as well; however, there were a few areas of improvement. The parking lot was not plowed well, and there was no designated sidewalk or walking area from the parking lot to the hotel. The slippery snow, slush, and ice made carrying luggage and corraling a 5-year-old a real challenge, not for the faint of heart, especially with the cost of parking.
Another challenge was breakfast options. At some points, Starbucks was the only option, and it was not the most filling, delicious, or nutritious option. All other restaurants were closed on certain days, such as Mondays, and at particular times.
The Pool was nice, and my daughter loved it; however, the water could use a little more shock, as it was a bit hazy.
The biggest issue was a large hole—yes, a hole—in the middle of my mattress. I did not complain or report it because I assumed it was known.
With all the issues I listed above, I would return. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I saw the housekeeping staff deep cleaning the rooms.
