While the room appeared clean upon arrival, the fact that my 10 month old baby’s hands & feet were filthy black from crawling around proved us otherwise. That was rather disappointing.
I specifically selected this hotel for the kid-friendly pool area. We arrived at 3:30pm, quickly unpacked, and changed to go swimming. Then after having to get directions to the pool from a random staff member, since it was not posted anywhere, and walking a good 1/2 mile to the pool area, we were told it was closing in two minutes (5pm). Pool hours were not provided at check-in & were not listed in the hotel binder in the room. The 5pm closing did not match the signs on the pool either. Nevertheless, we inquired about the opening time for the next day expecting to enjoy the amenities then. Much to our disappointment, we arrived to find that the water to the kid slide & splash area were turned off. We politely asked if it could be turned on & were told these amenities were not available after Labor Day. I spoke with the manager & was told there was nothing he could do since I booked through hotels.com. Apparently the pool hours & closure are posted on the hotel website/social media but is not communicated to its partnering booking agencies, as I could find no notice of this on hotels.com. So we were able to swim in the pool at our own risk but no other kid-friendly options as advertised. Should have booked a less expensive hotel with a pool and could have swam until 10pm.
