There are a number of souvenir and gift shops in the building selling funny T-shirts, embroidered shoes and quirky knick-knacks for tourists. The mannequins and movie character statues outside the shopping centre make for good photo-ops. There’s also a supermarket that stocks basic essentials for your stay in town.

    You can’t miss Taste of Life as you walk down Nissi Avenue. This warmly lit giftshop exclusively sells Cypriot and Greek products manufactured in the region.     The owner will also patiently tell you about the products if you have any questions. This underrated store is adored by visitors in the know for the excellent service provided by its owner, as well as standout products they won’t find in generic souvenir stores on the same street.

In the summer, there are about 50 stalls set up in this market with international and local vendors selling a wide range of goods. Tourists and expats come here for trinkets, books, second-hand household appliances and electronics at low prices, as well as imported fish, fresh fruits and veggies sourced from a local farm. House clearance and car boot sales can also be seen here, so it’s the best place to pick up a bargain.

    Come early to soak up the British market atmosphere and grab breakfast from the food stalls serving up British grub like scotch eggs, sausage rolls and pork pies.
