We stayed in a villa and you have to drive for breakfast, or to have WiFi... because of the layout of the property. And you can’t do it without a 4x4 because of the stony and hilly road. If you want to use their driving service it’s 5USD to be driven around the property... Weird concept.
The eating area is very nice, pool looks beautiful, great view. But overall the property is not finished yet. The villas are barely done, lots of construction noise starting from early mornings. You can’t really lock the villas, they have a rather open concept, bedrooms are on the upper floor, connected by a terrace and stairs outside, and you can’t lock the bedrooms from outside. bathroom, kitchen and living room are downstairs. The terrace door also can’t be locked. So you really need to trust...
The property is protected by a huge and modern gate that can be opened with a code. Our arrival worked out well. But next day the code was changed without informing us (and they had our what’s app numbers which they used prior the arrival to send us the first code). So we couldn’t get in after our day trip. There is no way of contacting the property when you are in front of the gate, no telephone service on the mobile phones, no number you can call via the machine where you enter the code, and nobody hears you if you honk because the gate is so far from the reception and main area. We only got back in because another car was leaving and opened the gate.

Alles TOP!

Ok but will not recommend
Not so good, the furniture is outdated, almost no service, the room is not clean as well. For the price we pay it is not worthy.

The design and layout of the buildings was unique and pleasant. Proximity to the rain forest and a good balance of isolation and ease of travel to the community and activities.

Expected more from the price. Market themselves as a luxury eco lodge but its maybe just a step up from camping with a nice pool. Stayed in safari tent, which was nice, clean and we were close enough to the main area to pick up the wifi but if you like hot showers dont stay here, theres a heater in the toilet area but the refused to turn it on when we asked (for higher paying customers perhaps? Who knows..) not the safest either, hand railings partially falling off, stones on shower floor make it hard to stand on, extremely slippery when wet. Food wasnt great at all, we didnt bother to pay for lunchs or dinners since we werent overly thrilled with breakfast. Staff was rarely around and didnt seem to care when you tried to ask them something. Overall it was an ok experience but wouldnt do it again for that price! Oh and drive to hotel was umm a challenge, big big hills and not paved, only attempt if you have a 4x4!

Horrible Place That Photographs Well
Don’t be fooled by the photos
We stayed in the stand alone 2 bedroom villas. There are a few things you should know.
1. The view from the pool is amazing.
2. Restaurant food was good and affordable, but very limited menu. Only 3 menu items.
3. The staff is lovely and very helpful and friendly.
NO AIR CONDITIONING - And this is one of the hottest parts of Costa Rica. The villas are at the bottom of the hill, not at the top which gets a good breeze.
4x4 REQUIRED - You need 4x4 and good tires. Getting to the entrance is fine, but driving from the gate to the pool/restaurant where you check in is VERY steep. We were driving a 4wd truck with good tires and still were fishtailing a little on the gravel.
NO WIFI - There is wifi at the restaurant, but not at the villas
NO CELL SERVICE - My cell phone wouldn’t work here… and I have a Costa Rican cell phone.
GATE LOCKED - We arrived during the day but the gate was locked. We buzzed, but the buzzer didn’t work. There was a note to WHATSAPP reception, but none of our cell phones worked at this location. Finally another guest pulled up behind us, jumped over the gate, then buzzed us in. So not really secure if you can just jump the gate to buzz people in.
VILLA UNLOCKED ALL NIGHT - And while the gate to get in keeps you locked out, the villa is wide open. They gave us a million keys, yet none actually locked the doors.
Do not come during rainy season. Just don’t.
NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!

Amazing wildlife and great tents
Had a fantastic stay here in the safari tent. Staff are friendly. Tent was clean, comfortable with queen size bed. Shower is outside so need to watch for bugs at nighttime, toilet is enclosed with a door. There is no paved road access to the property, if your driving a small car you will only just get to the front gate. The staff will pick you up from the gate to take you to reception. However we had no one take us back to our when we wanted to go out for the day. Also check out was bit difficult as the staff member didnt turn up so had to wait half an hour for the other staff to come and check us out. That was the only disappointing aspect. The bird and monkeys are amazing to watch from the dining area. So many macaws and toucans.

Really cute place with amazing views. Staff was so sweet and friendly. Food was completely included and when we had an all-day hike to corcovado they packed us a lunch. there were a couple things that need tweaking but it's such a new hotel I think over time they'll figure it out. It was surprisingly comfortable for glamping. One thing I would keep in mind is that they are up and unpaved road and it's pretty crazy to get up there so make sure you have a 4 x 4. Wasn't too bad to do in the dry season but in the wet season I can see it being even harder. would recommend getting there with sunlight but we got there at night and it wasn't too bad. the unpaved road is about 10 minutes uphill and then you're another 15 minutes or so on the paved road to downtown so it's hard to come and go as you please.
