Although the hotel personnel - from reception to restaurant to housekeeping - were friendly and professional, the condition of the carpet and the lack of furniture in the more spacious "Executive Double" brought the whole experience to a lower level. The executive room is shown and described with a sofa - our room only had one lonely armchair - one of us got to use that while the other either sat on the desk chair or the bed. The carpet had seen better days - many years ago; it was stained, spots from removal attempts were evident but we definitely did not want to walk on it without socks AND shoes. With this wear and tear so obvious, the carpet should have been replaced and the room in this 4 Star hotel should not have been in the condition it was. Parking is advertised on the hotel's website at EURO 12,00 / day. However, it did not state that the parking was not at the hotel but in a public parking garage some 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. Overall, we were happy to only spend 3 nights here and will not consider staying here again. Additionally, the billing process - via multiple emails in both French and English - are confusing until you lay out printouts of all of them to deduce what is what.
