The AC/heater filter in the room was SO filthy, the room smelled like urine! I offered to spray the filter off in the dish sink in the kitchen, but apparently THAT had to go through "channels", so I asked for another room. They went to the room they were going to move us to, but wouldnt let me go with them to inspect it! It was also wayyyyyyyyy far away from the front entrance & restaurant. I explained my 76 yr old husband is recovering from 2 awful cancers, and is in End Stage Renal Failure and we didnt think it was safe to stay in the original room. That being said, the uncaring front desk person was going to make him walk way too far to get to a new room. Eventually, someone DID spray the plastic filters off and brought them to me, so we kept the room, but didn't use the heat. There's no telling what kind of germs that unit had been spewing into the room. No one even had a CLUE about the filters - the 1st thing I check when we stay at a hotel with those outdated units.
Next morning, even with the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door, housekeeping started banging on the door at 8am!!
Then, some big, scary dude started banging on the door across the hall while yelling threats that included the "F" word liberally. That was scary as hell. I was late for a Dr appt becauae we couldnt leave the room when we planned.
NEVER AGAIN. This hotel is old and dirty, w/ broken locks, smelly everything, lousy housekeeping, and a staff that is EXTREMELY RUDE. Motel 6 is better. ACK!!!
