I love staying here normally but on this occasion, I did feel it wasn't up to the usual standard it has been in my previous stays. This was a short overnight stay as part of a longer multi-city trip and I booked the standard Quincy room which I haven't stayed in before. I normally opt for the altitude room as it's spacious and truly luxurious. However, this room was very small in comparison, I was unable to fully open my large 83cm suitcase next to the double bed, and the bed was quite close to the wall and TV. However, the more annoying things were that I had to wait over 45 minutes to check in as my room wasn't ready even though this was after check-in time (I checked in by 3:40 pm), the room wasn't as clean as I have been used to at Quincy (cup marks on the table and dirt in the sink), and lastly the noise!! Quincy is next to a nightclub on the front side of the building which on Fridays and Weekend stays open until 7am or later. I love a night out and party and often do when I travel, but I also like being able to sleep in a room that costs over 220 AUD a night. I have never noticed this problem before as I'm usually on floors 13-27 so it's far enough from the street. But on this occasion, I was on floor 3, meaning I could hear everything all night. I feel like small details were missed and I also had no body wash in the shower, just two shampoos. In saying this, this is the first negative experience I have had so I will give Quincy another shot.
