They would not let us stay because we did not have the money for a deposit we knew nothing about so they got paid for the room which they could rent out again it really sucked because i has been up for 36 hours already
Upon arrival, the clerk informed us that the key maker was not operational and escorted us to our room with his master key. There was no hairdryer or iron available. There was also trash under the bed.
We had requested a queen size mattress, but we received a bed that appeared to be a full size. When I went to the front desk to inform them about the situation, the manager was very unprofessional with her tone of voice and facial expression. There was nothing Luxurious about the Luxe Suite.
The photos with this hotel show a free breakfast including eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, etc. There was none of this available and when ask about it, the gentleman at the desk said sorry, it's a contintental breakfast. I only saw packaged oatmeal and dry bread.
Overall, this was a great hotel for the price. The main complaint we had was that the refrigerator in the room did not work well. We were only there for the weekend, so it wasn't a big deal. The pool was nice as was the hot tub. However, the first night, the hot tub wasn't working. We woud definitely stay here again though.
Hotel emailed that the deposit was on a card. Upon arrival, we were informed that it was cash only. They did finally honor the card, after I showed them the message from them that specifically said deposit was on card.
When we arrived, we were told we were required to pay a $60 deposit in cash before we could check in. This had been unknown to us prior and felt uncomfortable. The front desk associate was not friendly and did not speak very clearly. He seemed annoyed to be asked questions. We booked this hotel largely because of the amenities included, especially the pool and breakfast. The pool was closed. The breakfast was toast, bagel, or cereal (two options). Not what we were expecting.
The rooms were awkwardly put together. Our bathroom door was incorrectly assembled so it wouldnât close properly and the shower head was not fully attached to the wall. The walls were very thin and overall it was just a very uncomfortable experience.
Under the beds were disgusting, staff were rude and standoffish. We could hear the lady from the front desk having verbal altercations with several other guests. She was extremely lous and very unprofessional.
The milk for the cereal was bad. I could see little clabbored chunks around the lid so i smelled it and it smelled bad. I told the lady at the front desk. She stomped over to the little eating area and said the milk was just opened the day before. She took the silver container the milk was in and brought back the container with some more milk in it. I could tell she had washed the container but the milk in the container still smelled bad.
There were some kids come to the pool while my kids were at the pool. The adult that was with the kids was on the phone with someone arguing with them and using language that he shouldn't be using around any kid. One is the little boys began talking to me and ended up telling me that their cousin was the manager. Another one of the older boys said yea we run this pool. A little while later the boys began splashing water in my kids faces who are 3 and 5 years old and wouldn't stop at all so we left the pool and my kids were upset they couldn't play in the pool. When I said something to the lady at the front desk she said she wasn't responsible for what other customers do. I said to her don't you mean what your family does that's not paying and isn't staying here. She didn't respond. I will not stay there again.
Overall, the property was OK. They do require a cash deposit of $50 which to me does not make a lot of sense. They gave the $50 back to me when I checked out, but they would have had no clue if I had trashed the room or not (I didn't). I thought the purpose of a deposit was to assure if any damage was done to the room, damage that would only be discovered when the room was cleaned, the deposit would cover that cost. That's why you put deposits on a credit card. The cash deposit makes no sense from that perspective.
Also, at check-in I asked for a wake-up call at 4:00AM. The person at the desk said no problem. I received no wake-up call and when I checked out the new person at the desk said they don't do wake-up calls. What hotel doesn't do wake-up calls?
Toilet did not work right. Desk personnel not friendly or helpful. Vending was a joke. Breakfast was worse. Door slamming and partying n the Parkin are all hours
Horrible loud hallways doors didnt lock properly! Cheap smelled like marijuana through hallways. Would not stay again unless in a pinch. Would not have stayed if kids were with me!
Denied refund after 3 attempts at finding us an acceptable room. Room #1 toilet was broken. Room#2 - Door wouldnât lock. Room#3 and 4 - same issues, doors were unable to lock. Garbage in hallway (plastic bottles, chips bags). Simply asked for a refund but was denied. Finally found out a a room. My credit deposit will take 2 weeks to refund! The morning breakfast was a few slices of bread and cereal that was all over the floor. Would not recommend.
