I got a budget room as I was travelling solo in Iceland, which is in another building just across the main hotel. I got a room with double-bed, a small kitchen, and a tiny bathroom. The toilet bowl is nearly just under the sink (you can brush your teeth while doing your toilet business at the same time ü). While you're sitting on the throne, your knees will hit the shower glass door, which is the size of a coffin. It was good enough for me as I was alone and the compact size fits my petite Asian stature, but would not recommend to couples mainly because of the mega small bathroom.I'm on the top floor, so I have a beautiful sight of the changing sky colors.
My room is on the top floor(3rd) and has certainly a view, though it was the courtyard on the backstreet. But as there's no elevator, had to carry my luggage up the stairs.I was lucky because if it would have been the other side facing the main street, it would be noisy all night from people partying in bars lining up the alley until morning, since the sun doesn't truly set. So I still had my peaceful nights.
Location is great, just step out of the building and you're already ready to shop/eat/drink.The bus stop no. 7 is famous for tour bus or airport pick up and is just around the corner, so this makes my excursions super easy with no rush to make it on time.
The staff is great, super-friendly, especially Magic Mike and Lisa.
Considering the prices in Reykjavik, I got a good promo deal and it's worth every penny.
