Frustrating experience. The unit we rented had a broken AC- normally not an issue in SBS- however- the weather was warm and upon check in, our room was 83 degrees. We turned on the Ac and went to grab dinner only to return to a room that was the same temperature. Around 9, we called the front desk- and I was told to “open a window”.
Again, in SBS that can work- but it was a very warm evening. When I said, I was sure the air was not working- I was told someone would come shortly. After multiple fix its- it was determined there was no working system- even a fan- working- and they would need to move us. This stuff happenes- not a big deal- but it took hours to move us. Multiple calls until I finally sat at the front desk until they moved us- that took hours. Mt best guess is they never attempted to move us hoping we would give up.
Once we moved, this was after 11;45, I started to get text messages from the rental company demanding I call them immediately. The text messages were assuring me they were helping my room switch/ so best I can assess- the staff there hoped I would give up and when I finally stood there making it uncomfortable, they put it into their system.
They did eventually move us- and they did not up charge up for a different room.
But the process was painful and unnecessary.
If they had just moved us instead of the hours of song and dance- it would have been fine.
Also note/ there is no fitness center currently- which we were only told upon check in.
