Incompetent Front Desk/Manager
I am infuriated by the incompetence of the front desk staff and the manager. I had an envelope sent overnight by Fedex to arrive Thursday Oct. 31 that was needed for a business meeting in the morning of Friday November 1. When checking at the front desk for my envelope no one was able to find it. We had proof of delivery and the signature of the front desk receptionist. Several hours later I was told it was in the managers office and that the manager had left for the day. Nobody else had a key to th manager's office. How is this possible in the 21st Century? That I have to wait until the next morning to get my envelope? What if the manager had an emergency and was not able to come in that morning? No one else was able to enter the office? I find this totally unacceptable and unbelieveable in 2024. This morning they were still unable to locate it and finally after searching for close to three hours found it and presented it to me in the manila envelope that was inside the Fedex envelope - no fedex envelope in sight. Nothing much offered in the way of an apology for the inconvenience - just oh, sorry about this! This Hotel's front desk staff clearly has not be trained in the hospitality industry and in the a basic scenario of what to do if a guest is waiting for an overnight delivery! something that is obviously important for the guest. I am stunned by the incompetence.
