Wonderful hotel, great for families and couples !!! Or even a group of friends. I would highly recommend this hotel
Staff not very friendly otherwise okay
Royalton White Sands is actually closed but the alternative Blue Waters was very nice. I called 2 days before my visit to ask about opening status which they confirmed so I had a mini heart attack when my transfer driver said it is closed. I also asked about the availability of the diamond club and presidential benefits and was assured that everything was still available but that is not the case. We booked a One Bedroom Ocean View Presidential Suite Diamond Club. We were very impressed with the location but annoyed that we didn't get the semi private pool we booked as we were on the 4th floor. Check-in with Moya was smooth and she was delightful. We met our butlers Lacey Ann and Ryan who gave us a tour, got us lunch and drinks right away. These two were nothing short of amazing. They were professional, responsive and anticipatory. They are always brining us something and calling or texting to check on us. If we don't respond they walk the property to find us. WE LOVED IT! Paul at the lobby bar was the best bartender and Andre who served us at the steakhouse and italian restaurant was superb. The buffet experience was very disappointing. The food was just ok and not much variety especially when it comes to Jamaican options which I was really looking forward to being in Jamaica and the staff left much to be desired. I'd really pass on the extra upgrades next time till things get back to normal but if you choose them, definitely confirm at check-in.
During my trip, November 6th- 13th 2020 I was to meet with friends and we all booked at the royalton white sands. Upon my arrival 2 days after my friends I learn that they were moved to the blue waters side WITHOUT being informed until check in. I arrive and the staff and manager of the Diamond Club tell me that there is no way for me to move my room because they have nothing comparable to the presidential swim out that I reserved for the 7 days of my stay. And that if I moved i would be downgraded to a lesser room in comparison. I decided to wait it out because the staff told me it was a short walk to the other side and I would barely notice. It rained for 3 days straight when I arrived. I noticed. And the lighting in their walkways was VERY dim so walking back after a few drinks and at night in the pouring rain proved to be difficult. It was only until I expressed my displeasure via an orbitz survey that they made an attempt to move my room to blue waters. I move over to blue waters into the least luxurious room that they have. The bottom of the barrel. They told me there were no swim outs nor presidential suites available and they did not even have the courtesy of giving me an “upgraded” “ocean view” room. I literally got the bottom of the barrel. The room was nice because the property is newer but I’d reserved the “swim out presidential suite” for my stay so you can imagine my displeasure after unexpectedly being split from my friends and not being accommodated properly.
Had an amazing view! Very friendly staff. Because of COVID not all restaurants were open and no shows or activities to do. Great place just to chill. It rained the whole week there so no excursions but that was No Fault of the Royalton. We actually stayed at Blue Waters because White Sands was not open. Loved it!
The property has a beautiful ocean view. I did not like the fact that the property did not advertise that all of the amenities would not be available prior to booking. This resort states they have 11 restaurants however only 3 were open when we arrived. There was a foul odor in the room at times as well as the elevator. We agreed to a spa treatment and was told one price we paid it and when we checked out they tried to charge us $50 additional dollars. We also ordered room service which was confirmed and never arrived, we complained and received a call stating they knocked on the door and no one answered however the COVID protocol indicated that they were to leave the bag of food at the door. The staff argued with us and basically called us liars very unprofessional.
It was really amazing, love the hospitality.
Property was well kept. People cleaning the beach constantly, cleaning was nonstop throughout the entire resort. We got upgraded ( traveling during a pandemic has it perks) and our room was amazing! It came with a butler service. Paul and Klarice were amazing and took care of all our needs and made the entire trip for us! Temps taken before you entered any restaurant and hand sanitizer given. Food was AWFUL! Buffet only open for breakfast, the first day we got a GIANT black hair in our pasta at the Italian place. The jerk chicken was so dry. My kids lived off French toast and hotdogs the entire time. The little island off the resort was filthy and hadn’t been used for a long time. Property is showing it’s age but still very nice however, we had a problem w the kids slides. They didn’t turn them on until late in the day and then we had to wait for the tank to fill so usual kids trick get to play in the kid section until 3 or so ( I had 3 kids ) so that sucked. Paul and Klarice and our room upgrade made up for the food. Rasta & Miss Beverly at the beach always made sure our things were safe and kept clean. We traveled in Late Oct2020. About a total of 60 guest in the entire resort while we were there so it was basically empty but still a wait at the swim up bar. Unfortunately, the coffee shop and breakfast didn’t open until 7am. My kids get up at 5:45/6 . So that posed an issue for us.
Property is good, we were upgraded to the Blue Waters Hotel next door. Hotel's main entrance needs fixing, remove squaters
I can’t say enough positive things about this beautiful resort! I had the best experience. Starting from the moment I stepped on to the property, to get be efficient, they upgraded me to Blue Waters. I appreciated that because they put the guests were not spread out which kept costs low. Next the check in process. After going through the process implemented to safely enter the country I was exhausted and a bit disoriented. The check in person was so patient with me. She made sure I understood everything and delivered the information in a way that I clearly understood everything. The safety precautions put in place were phenomenal! The room was absolutely beautiful! The view was amazing! The dining process was efficient and although I would have liked the food to be better, the availability and the process to get it was very good. There were plenty of options, something for everyone. The spa was very relaxing as well. I am going to go back. Most definitely one of my new favorite places. I immediately went on my social media and recommended Royalton to all of my family and friends!
