We had a pretty good stay here. The hotel is in an old historical building and they did a good job of incorporating those older aspects with new, more modern ones. The bed was very comfy, the shower was new, and the breakfast was fantastic. They have a pretty decent breakfast menu, but the chef also says he’ll make anything you want. It didn’t take very long either and it was very good. They even had some pretty fancy options!
The hotel has free tea and snacks available starting at 7 pm. While we attended and thought it was cute, we were the only ones there. It might be better to move up the time for this event so it’s not when people are having dinner and dessert and is instead at a more typical tea time.
Our biggest complaint about this hotel was the AC. We were there during a heat wave, and our window AC unit was working really hard and barely made the room cool. They also didn’t have any fans available to help circulate the air. I know Massachusetts isn’t always hot, but it gets hot enough often enough that I think upgrading the AC/fan system is worthwhile.
Overall, we enjoyed staying here and would stay again, but not in the summer.
