We stayed in a 1 BR cabin. The exterior had been redone. Kitchen was very basically stocked with pots, pans, plates etc. Some had been used for some time. A sharp knife would have been very useful. No place to recycle, everything went to the trash. Furniture was clean and functional but one chair and the kitchen table would wobble back and forth. Bed is queen size and lumpy. Bathroom is basic, but the water is hot and there is plenty of it. Everything was quite clean. No maid service or room service. Fresh towels require a trip to the registration desk for the exchange.
Cabins are some distance from the main lodge and the restaurant is located there. Parking slot for our cabin was behind it, so a walk across an area that is sort of covered with grass is necessary. Would have been very muddy if it had been at all wet. A car is essential. Food quality is about that of Denny's but the menu is much smaller. There are a few places to eat within a 10 mile radius, but everything is simple and nothing is fancy. Small grocery store in nearby town, but any serious shopping for supplies means a trip to Paducah. Due to the time of the year (October) the pool was drained and dry.
