It was our first time in Mexico and our stay at El Dorado Seaside Palms was perfect! We were surprised first by an incredible upgrade to a premium suite since the trip was for celebrating my partner's birthday. But the pleasant surprises did not end there - everyone was incredibly friendly and kind; the beach was beautiful and the grounds were well maintained; the food was great quality especially for an all-inclusive resort; they did not cheap out on drinks at all, no watery cocktails made with cheap liqueur; there were all kinds of cool wildlife we saw on the grounds (watch out for the super cute coatis that climb up coconut trees, iguanas, frigate birds, pelicans and grackles); entertainments were appropriately fun and chill (beach volleyball, foam party and mexican night!); the room itself was also well maintained and furnished; the more inclusive package was also amazing, with our excursion to Aktun Chen making the holiday extra memorable.
Special shout outs to Angel, Axel, Cinthia, Fernando, Gabriella, Isai, Luisa and Lucio for giving us an unforgettable experience. Everyone here goes above and beyond. You are all phenomenal, and your hard work and kindness do not go unnoticed.
One potential downside is that it is a drive away from Cancun airport (close to 1.5-2hrs ride with the shared transportation making stops) but in my opinion, it's well worth the extra time and distance.
