We - a family of 3 - planned a 4 days trip to London and selected the Fielding Hotel - nicely located in SoHo - little private hotel, not these type of international standards hotel, with individually decorated rooms.
Three months after our booking we got informed that we got the last room - without a window, but spacious and with two washrooms.
We made a mistake and did not folllow up - now we learned our lessons, as we arrive late a friendly receptionist welcome us and guided us to the CELLAR - without window means in the CELLAR - can you believe it ?!? We could not believe before we saw it.
But not enough - spacious maybe but not high, as it is a room in the CELLAR the ceiling is low, and in the two washrooms you can hardly stand - please look at the pictures. And it is not only the height of the room, but the humidity in the room - it always smelled humid and the washroom even had mold.
We had a great time in London and can share tips if you like, most important if you book The Fielding Hotel - reject room 42 and 43 both are in the cellar ( maybe they get renumbered, so reject CELLAR ).
The nicely decorated room cannot compensate for the low ceiling a person with claustrophobia would not stay any minute and the mold and humidity in the room.
Hope we help to make you stay even more enjoyable.
