Overall this place is an excellent value for the $. They're just finishing a renovation, so the paint was new, there are some really nice lighting touches, and it's remarkably clean in the rooms. You can tell they're working on a budget--the fridge in my deluxe double was spraypainted to look new, but was old enough to make a notable racket at night when the compressor kicked on. Wasn't bad enough to complain about, though--we just kinda got used to it as white noise. I do believe that if we had complained, they would have done their best to switch us rooms or otherwise fix the issue. (Another tip--the TVs aren't quite set right; you have to select the HDMI input every time you turn the TV on, otherwise you'll just get snow.) But these are obvious growing pains, and my girlfriend & I were very happy with our stay. The staff even took the time to show us the room before assigning it. Parking was okay, despite a couple large dumpsters still on-site. Location is...well, it's Chesapeake. Not bad, considering some of the places we've stayed there.
Note to staff: I'd recommend stocking extra toilet paper--I had to grab some in an emergency off the cart our fist morning, filling the kleenex dispenser, and for the kitchen suites, maybe some $ store cookware & dishes?
