Let’s see….. for a Marriott I expected better. The hotel was clean, which is important. The bed was hard. My son slept on the double size day bed/couch. He said it was uncomfortable. And, they had a small tv. But, the kicker for me, was the lack of a decent breakfast. Though, to be fair, the fact the person responsible for putting out the food didn’t show up, isn’t really the hotels fault. But, they did have someone hurriedly getting the food together, I would have thought, they would cross train others, just for such an eventuality. What they did have was mediocre. The eggs were cold, the hash browns were not cooked just warmed in a microwave, the breakfast sandwich was cold and hard. Most surprising was no bacon or sausage, not even a waffle maker or pancake machine, which I would have expected, given it’s supposed to be a high end hotel. Let’s just say their competition has a better breakfast. I will give them another chance, as it wasn’t their fault their employee didn’t show up. But, seeing as they are a hospitality company, I would have expected them to cross train their employees in other areas of the hotel, for any eventuality, that occurs.
