6/10
I stayed at this hotel recently while in town for a wedding. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, which was a plus right from the start. However, the property overall feels dated. One of the entrance doors wasn’t working during my stay, and I noticed several broken floor tiles around the hotel, which gives off a bit of a neglected vibe.
The room itself was fairly decent—clean and comfortable beds, which made for a good night’s sleep. It did have a mini refrigerator, but no microwave. There’s only one microwave available for guest use, located near the vending machines in the lobby. That area wasn’t too dirty, but definitely could have used a cleaning. Also, with only one microwave, it’s easy to end up waiting in line—installing a few more would go a long way.
One big downside was the lack of basic personal hygiene items provided in the room. When I needed to iron my clothes for the wedding, I was surprised to find there was no iron or ironing board in the room. When I asked at the front desk, they required me to leave a credit card or ID just to borrow one. The ironing board turned out to be a small tabletop version, which made it nearly impossible to iron my dress properly.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but the hotel could benefit from a few upgrades and more thoughtful amenities. With a little more attention to detail, it could be a much better experience.
